I have recently got back my third assignment from my degree and I was delighted that I got 81%.
I am even more happy that I got full marks on the maths section! Ultimate nerd moment!! Maths does not come easily to me – to say the least – and it’s been about 10 years since I did maths so I was really chuffed! Big shout out to my dad who was there to help out over the phone whilst I muddled my way through! What a hero. 🙂
I am now preparing for my next assignment, which has involved me doing a science experiment based on my water usage. It’s really interesting when you actually keep record of how much water you are using – you start to realise how lucky we are to be able to turn on the tap and have clean, safe water.
Learning about the importance of clean water and sanitation is so enlightening. I am really enjoying getting to grips with issues that have been on my periphery for a long time but I am only now exploring them indepth and it’s opening my eyes to what a wonderful, miraculous but flawed world we live in.
It’s not always easy to see the bigger picture and acknowledge what is happening in the world and how injustice and unfairness are a huge part of this planet. But I think it’s important that I keep my eyes open to the truth and I do what I can to be the change that I want to see.
If you are in anyway on this journey with me, by educating yourself or doing what you can to reduce your impact on the world, then thank you. During this journey I am meeting so many people who restore my hope that we can change the world.
To all of you – you are bossing it! Keep it up!
Peace out, SWBC x
